Still Life Paintings by Nicolas Party

*SEALED COPY*

Still Life Paintings by Nicolas Party explores the Swiss artist's distinctive approach to one of painting's most enduring genres. Known for his richly saturated colors, simplified forms, and velvety surfaces, Party transforms familiar arrangements of fruit, vessels, and everyday objects into enigmatic compositions that exist somewhere between classical still life and contemporary abstraction.

Drawing on the traditions of European painting while embracing an unmistakably contemporary visual language, Party's work reduces objects to their essential shapes, creating carefully balanced arrangements that feel both playful and strangely monumental. His use of color, flattened perspective, and soft contours gives ordinary subjects an almost surreal presence.

This beautifully illustrated publication offers a focused look at Party's still-life practice and his ability to reinvent familiar subjects through a highly personal vocabulary of form and color. An appealing artist's book for collectors of contemporary painting and those interested in the continuing evolution of the still-life tradition.
